I have thought about this for a while when i first got into collecting ,this was the first site that i found that i thought would help me in all my problems.I soon found out i was right, the problem was i have not restored a tractor like i first thought i would do.I do not see me doing it in the near future either so a name change is happening. From now on it is drbish. This name change does not make me any smarter and i am still looking forward to everything that i can learn from this wonderful site

I'll be a while getting used to it after you being "new restorer", but I will adjust!

Glad you made the leap to a new, more accurate feeling, user name.  Hope you are feeling better, now that you are no longer a drbish trapped in a new restorer world.

Ironically, I have been thinking the same thing.  I no longer own a DB, so the name doesn't really fit.  Not sure what to go with, but "Former.DB.Owner" seems pointless.  More thought required, or maybe jump and think later.  Maybe we can set up a Trans-UserName support group.  Maybe even get our own topic heading.  Yeah, definitely less thought required.

They say once you own one you forever are one, ....''they'' also say a lot of other things too :dancingbanana:

Have gone through three changed in the past 10 years or more and may go through another or more as i grow, age and change.

It seems walk behinds are your favorites so you might relate to that.

When I picked my screen name I really struggled because of the possibility of change for what-ever reason.

I finally just used my amature (HAM) radio call sign. This call sign is my initials and NO-ONE else in the world has this same combination, so it is me/mine.

Even if I let my radio licenses laps, the call sign is still "mine" for an additional 10 years!

The most important thing is that you enjoy what you are doing. Saving treasures from scrap is number two. Restoring comes in quite a way down the list of priorities. Good Luck, Rick

I've been thinking along this same line a lot lately. Most know me as JimD on other forums. I started out as whhrsfan because WHfan was taken, then shortened it to fan because that's what everyone called me. Then there were just so many versions of Wheel Horse Fan that seemed confusing to others so I just changed it to my first name and last initial. I guess I'll send a pm to the bossman about it.  :D

After poking around in my profile I discovered we can change the name ourselves. Turns out the name JimD is already taken. Now I'm gonna have to give this more thought, which will give me a headache. big-headache-smiley-emoticon.gif
