My grandfather has a D4-12 it has been sitting completely restored for years, he gave up on it a long time ago because the transaxle is no good. Does anyone on here know where I could get one and also if there is any other kind that can go in it?

Please start a thread with pics of your D4-12.  We'd certainly like you to add it with serial numbers to our registry.  Welcome to GTtalk!

Ty, Welcome to GTtalk. There are parts out there for these, Scott, member "sacsr" might be able to help you out. I may have one for parts also. If you can get us some pictures and serial number, we would really appreciate it.

The serial number is 219 I have pictures that will go up later. I do not know much about these tractors but it looks similar to the d4-10 though it does have a rear hydraulic lift as well as power steering this stuff probably didn't get put on by the dealer. he also has 4 or 5 attatchements that can hook up as well. I went to look at it today and 20 years of dust are on the thing, but nonetheless its still a beautiful piece of equipment.
