I have been wanting a massey gt to add to my collection for some time now, A week or so ago I found one here locally.  contacted the guy and everything.  then over the weekend the dryer in the house quit, ok- I can make this work, get the new dryer and still have the cash for the new gt.  Even started warming the wife up to the idea of a new gt around the house.

Then I go out on Monday morning to start the truck and-------- nothing.  Crank's and crank's but wont start.  Long story short is after three days of playing and spending $200 in parts I got my truck running tonite.  Now I have to send the guy with the gt an e-mail and explain I don't have the cash to go get it this weekend, and all of this the day after my birth day!!!!

     GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I figured it was the timing, it had fuel and spark but would not start, also was at 120k.  time to change it out, turned out to be the crank position sensor---- I think????  Either way it is now running.

Sorry to hear that.I was there a few weeks ago, I still do't have a cell phone after paying $100 to fix the water damage, i dropped it a week later and broke the screen, another $150 fix.

Good eye, 2000 s-10 4.3ltr v6,  Like the idea of this truck just don't like the truck itself.  I have done a ton of work to it and it is still broken.

I've had something I thought I wanted bad. Everything was against it, just like you. I persevered and after I got it, it turned out not to be such a good idea. God will try to guide us if we listen. <sigh> But mostly we don't.

Yeah I hear you, For several years now I have been trying to save up to get the needed parts and machine work done for the engine on my Mom's 1970 GMC that I now have. Every time I get close something comes up that needs the funds.

I know the feeling, not a good one.  Good luck

One positive note. Just think of the size of the bill if you had to pay someone else do the work!
