It doesn't happen very often any more. The use of those tight fitting "Mechanix Gloves" really help. Keeps the fingernails clean too.

Great find BK. If you can get the previous owner to trade the extra upper link for the other long pull link, your 3pt will be complete, minus the pins and hair pins and chains. There is a small manual for the 3pt I will attach. There are most of the 990 manuals available at the top of this forum.

There is a growing number of MTD 990 owners putting these beauties back to work. My Tractor Forum also has a large following for the 990. Don't be afraid to tackle a repair, we can help, just ask for advice.

Welcome to GTT, good score there;)

You need to trade the seller one of short rods for the other long one and you'll have all the 3pt parts.
