Most times thiink rolling a yard is really dumb thing.  Last few years tho with Moles and now this winter tore up yard some with all the snows I decided to try it.  Have rented one couple times, that way you can take it back and not have to store. Problem is always when you want one, they are all rented and sometimes they are PIA to get into a truck and mess around, plus price is going up too.

SO, I decided to buy one and found an Orscheln Farm Store ad with one in metal for $199.  I figured couldn't be much, but was 24" x 48" size so went to look. Even the smaller plastic 36" one was $149 and it was small and cheapy looking.  I bought one that was unassembled just to save fellas from having to do that AND to fit in my wife's Terrain which we were in.  Here's some pictures of it and the wife saying "Hi!"     Yeah, sure she was!

I use mine in the spring and after a good soaking rain. I have moles also but my horses do most of the damage, so I use the roller for flattening out the turf.  I think you got a nice big one for the price and like Chris said it looks heavy duty. I hope it does a good job for you

Nice big roller to have. And, yes look in the garage. I always look in the back ground of pictures to see what's there. Noel

I like the roller. Reminds me that I should do our lawn again.

How can you decide which tractor gets to pull the new toy?

That's a nice one, most look like junk. They are hard to store but after renting a few times it's better to own it. I think we are due for a MTD update nice heard in the background. Did you ever get that green 990 that was pictured on a trailer on CL's ?
