Here's something you don't see everyday, and a brand I'm not familiar with.  Its a Gambles Red Rider M5, according to the seller, although I'm sure the "Twenty-Five" on the side of the hood should be involved in the model, too.

Its on Craigslist,

And eBay,

Anyone know much about these?

Cute little thing  :D :D :D

Odds are that it's a "House Brand" mower made by one of the major manufactures.

I'll give a WAG that the Twenty Five refers to the cutting width.

I found an ad dated 1958 that states Clinton engine and 5 forward, one reverse gears.

And the price on it new was $279. That thing really held it's value.

Sure is a neat looking little machine. I've always liked those "oddball" makes and brands.  Will make a great project LT for someone.                             Roger.

The sad thing that plagues all these mini riders like this (Ruggs, Mustangs, Pintos etc.) is that they are value-less. I think they are cool, but to restore one nice, you're upside down in them in a heartbeat.
