then where are all the ones up north going?? today is the first day ive had a chance to get on my comp in awhile an ive noticed theres barely any gts on craigslist

Unfortunately, most get scrapped. There is only a small pool of us that are willing and able to fix them. Because of liabiity, most professionals don't bother with the older any more.

 

There was a nasty law suit 15 years ago near here were a guy reached under a runing mower and cut his had off. It had recently been repaired. The guy sued the repairer and took everything. "He wasn't an authorized repairer" was what the lawyer claimed and the idiots on the jury believed it. When called for jury duty, I'm usually immediately disqualified because I'm an engineer. They want gullible jurors. And another part of the US is destroyed by our legal system. Good Luck, Rick
