What are those 'discs' made of?

Some kind of plastic fiber like sheet material. I will make some replacements out of sheet metal stock.

The tractor runs great, but the charging system isn't working. I'm going to unhook the Regulator and see if I have any output out of the stator. Are all the Onan Regulators the same, I have a couple good ones off of B43 engine and they are small in size compared to the one that's on this tractor. This one reminds me of the Regulators used on the Wheel Horse K Series Kohlers in the C-Series tractors.

Brian, you can use either a Kohler or Onan regulator.  Both work identically.  I had a Kohler regulator on my Massey w/FEL when it still had the Onan in it.  You can usually buy Kohler regulators cheaper than Onan, so that's what I buy.  Both 15 amp systems.

Dad just called ant it won't turn over again, not even click. He was using it at home to pull a trailer around and he shut it off and now nothing. I will have it back tomorrow and see what's going on, I hope I don't have to pull the engine again or it might not get that Onan back in it.

Check connections! Could be a bad ground. But, if you pull it out, I have dibs!

Brian - You mentioned you were going to make flex couplers for the drive out of sheet metal. I've replaced many of those but always used OE. Is this something you have done before with good result? Just curious, thanks.

Got a chance to take a look at her at lunch and it must have been a bad connection on the switch or in the harness to the engine. I unplugged and plugged those 2 items apart and back together and it fired right up.

Good deal!  Right now you're too busy to get into a re-power anyway.

Yes, I can't even find time to work on my Bush Hogs. :wallbanging:  I did get a Carb rebuilt at lunch yesterday to see if I can make one of the TR 10 D's run so I can get that Original D4-10 together .

Well, it's been awhile since I had time to work on any GT but it's time to get this thing ready to plow with. I ordered the new fiber disc for the drive shaft from Sandy Lakes and also ordered a new ignition switch. The parts should be in next Tuesday or so.
