For the pastures and high grass, I have the Ford 4610. I mowed the neighbor's ball field with it yesterday. I have a 7' flail mower.

For the lawn at the farm, I currently have a Deere LT155 and this new to me Cub Cadet 2145. I used it to finish the neighbor's ball field after I broke a belt on the flail mower!

At home, I have Cub Cadets, a 147 and a 72, plus a Craftsman RER. Of the three, usually one runs. Tonight it was the 72.

Not my only one, and Red is the youngest at 24 years old. Craftsman 917.254450 is my main mower.

When we bought this place almost a year after(1986) we married we had two 22" walk behinds, and the former owners left a smoking bad 22" self propelled. After two weeks we decided that weekends were going to only be for mowing lawn if we didn't do some thing.

We ended up buying a very used sears 10HP rider. that thing freed up the week ends as I was able to mow the yard before I went to work in one day.

Then in August 1988 I was mowing and the engine just said I quit and seized up.

We were better off by then although I could not get the Ariens I wanted we got a nice new Simplicity 6517 with a 48" deck.

Not many problems with it in all these years. The steering tie rod was the first thing to crap out so I replaced the ends with tie rod ends from a snow mobile. Fuel pump crapped out when about 20 years old. then shortly after the ignition module went out then again in 2012 when it was 24. Then in 2013 the mower deck belt was all stretched out. For some reason all the new belts kept breaking.

Finally tiring of trying to figure out the expensive problem I bought a new ZRT

Love the thing and am so happy I decided to go with a ZRT instead of a lawn tractor.

My main lawnmower is my 2014 X310. Power steering and hydraulic deck lift. Great little lawnmower tractor!
