Final RED paint on!   I rushed the paint job, so definitely not my best.  Shows some sand marks and such, plus a paint run or 2, but it's got paint and I had to get going on this.  I built this tractor to work, not look pretty, but it didn't have to stay so ugly either!  :smilewink:

Now just the white left to paint on the hood, dash, and seat pan.  Still a lot to do, but  think I'll make it before plow day.

Soon as it cures enough to where it isn't at all tacky, I'll slide the board & all into the bed of the Kubota, then just park it in the new shop to finish curing out.  Hope that's this evening, as rain comes tomorrow, and the old shop has a leak or 2, plus birds can get in & drop a mess on my paint!

Is there going to be any black on the hood and such? Didn't notice anything black yet..

I got my cast rear weights mounted, and more or less laid the steering column in so I could get all the hydraulic lines hooked back up.  I also added a shim to my lift circuit pressure control. Once running I'll install a gauge & see where the pressure is at now.  I know it was low before as steering & lift didn't have the "umph" it should have.

Had a bunch typed and my fat fingers hit a key or keys that shut my computer down!  :wallbanging:  :mad2:

Jury is still deliberating, but I think I'll be leaving the brake pedals black.  I painted the steering column black today, and will paint the fuel tank black.  That way everything under the dash tower (battery too of course) will be black & uniform.

The 3pt lift assembly will be either black or white.  Hood decals will have black in them for sure, but not sat down to figure out a pattern yet.  Still a lot to get figured out.

Been working on the hood.  Lots to do as far as straightening, welding in holes, etc.  I've got it to the point of sandblasting the underside, but it's so cold my blaster hoses are too stiff, so that will wait to a warmer day.  Still only 16F out.  I could do some body filling on the topside, but that would get beat up in the blast cabinet.

Managed to blast the underside of the hood, or at least good enough.  Got the underside under primer.

I also welded 3 holes up in the dash.  Tomorrow if nothing prevents it, I'll be spreading some body filler on spots of the top & sides of the hood and the 3 spots on the dash.  Getting body work done is the least fun for me.  Tedious, and never comes out as good as I hope it to, but at least usually much better than it would be without it.

Been body filling and sanding that down soon as it cured a little while.  I'm not after perfection, but this will improve things a bit.

There were 3 low spots after sanding, so I added an additional thin layer of filler in just the spots.  I'll re-sand after lunch.  Sides haven't been sanded at all yet, but I should get the hood prep done today.  Still need to sandblast the dash, then do some spot filling on it, and blast/prep the seat pan.  Once done, they all get high grade bulk primer.  I just used spray bomb primer on underside of the hood.

I got the dash blasted and some spot putty curing in spots.  Seat base blasted as well as I could being it barely fit into my cabinet.  I wire brushed and hand sanded it after removing from blast cabinet.  With a little luck, all 3 pieces will be under primer by tomorrow afternoon.

I'm still not full bore back into the GT mentality, but it's coming back slowly.  I'm forcing it now due to plow day just a bit over 3 months away, plus going to public work in just a bit over a month or so.  Time is running out for free time to get Hogzilla finished!

Well, it's either time to meditate or medicate! Ready to shoot primer, but I've misplaced my inline air regulator! I had another I bought never used, but added fittings only to find the regulator is no good!
I'll find the good one sooner or later, but sooner would be nice.
