He seems a bit "out of the loop" with his knowledge.  I wonder if he's calling the mid mount hydraulics it's 3 point because I sure don't see it.  Also, I thought Massey quit on these in 1979 and became Snappers 1980-1983.My Dad had a MF1450 and Mf 1650 and I have two Snapper 1650s, excellent tractors and "built like tanks.  It seems like a reasonable deal to me only because the tires and paint work are there. If 3 point is really there I'd say a really good deal.

My Dad bought his new MF 1650 in the spring of 1978.  Labeled MF from 1977-1979 and labeled Snapper from 1980-1983 from my research.

I called him tonight. He is a little bit. It doesn't actually have a 3 point. Still he's only 20 min. away so I've got to at least go look at it :smilewink:

Try and get him down a little bit on the price. Tires ,if there in good shape, are worth half the asking price.

I know why he hasen't sold it. Called him and left him a message to tell him I was coming at a certain  time and whether that would work for him and he never called back. I really wanted the 3 point anyway and since it didnt have one I guess I'll pass.

I've got an 1855. These are well built tough machines. My experience has been that some parts for it are getting hard to find and expensive. I paid 500 for mine and I'm pretty sure mine is in worse condition. I'd say go ahead and buy it for as little as possible and then enjoy it.
