Never got into mine. The Spokes are cracked but it is holding up so have no plans to.

a guy on another forum turned me onto Partspring.com and after checking it out and talking with the local NH dealer the parts are available....200 for the wheel and a few dollars for the other stuff. May cost more for a used one from a a boneyard but still more than I`m wanting to pay . But it is available....encouraging. My dealer said he had couple of places to check for used/ aftermarket  stuff so that`s good. Thanks for the help guys !!

New replacement stating it is splined but DOES work for your tractor on ebay HERE  About $73 to your door.

I saw that cowhand...probably does the non power steering version of the 1500. Referencing the parts catalog the power steering didn`t start till November of 1980. even though the nameplate says 1979.

*New replacement SPLINED steering wheel, not like original but does fit.

has appox. 3-1/2" dish

*This fits all the above tractors with manual or power steering. 

*Measures 15-5/8" O.A. diameter

I should have read closer Cowhand....thanks for heads up. I`m gonna call em and ask......save a bunch of bucks if it works.
