Two David Bradleys is fairly good shape came home behind me on Friday.  It was a great deal that was too good to pass up. 

 

Both are in pretty darn good shape.  #1 is complete as far as I can tell, minus little things like handle grips.  I love the brand new tires. 

 

 

#2 looks good on the outside but a little stale on the inside.  The engine sheetmetal and carburetor/air cleaner is AWOL, as well as the gas tank.  It must have been a donor along the way.

 

 

I figure there's enough there to get at least one good one purring and if I find the missing parts a second one.

I should say!!  I like the old style criss-cross ag tires on DB walk behinds, anyway.   I'll try to find a set or something similar. 

 

If you like the looks of them, I'll send you one when its all shiny .  I'll probably restore the complete one here after the forklift is done.  I've got implements out my ears for the old Super Power that I've been fussing about parts for.  I'm still wanting to get the old Continental I bought for it working, I just haven't had the time and it wasn't on the short priority list when I did have time.

That's the pair.  I told you I was going to do something there.  I was tickled he held them for me, it sounds like he had quite a few calls.

When I bought my MF12 back in 84 I had a chance of getting one of these & a lot of emplements for almost nothing. I so regret it everytime I see the hood on these. The nose just makes a statement running or not. Will be watching.

   I picked up a hood for one of those last fall, kind of ratty but I think I can save it.  I am going to use it for a pedal tractor I want to build, going to look like an old narrow front end jd.

Nice looking tractors. It looks like both of them could be restored. So, one snow tire and one summer tire. Is that the all season setup for a DB?

The first tractor has been repainted already, so I'll probably get it back to normal.

Its also the all wheel drive model, so it out to clear double the normal price on eBay.

You can't blame Kenny for this one, he showed me the ad after I had already found the it.  Blame me!

I seem to remember that some of the old 2 wheelers used WWII surplus jeep tires. There were millions available in the 1950s. Even in 1967 a complete new WWII jeep was only $200 and it was still in the crate.  Sears also used the tires on car trailers they sold. Take a look at how they look on the DB. Good Luck, Rick
