I am almost done putting back together my 1971 case 444.  She is running great but it will start while in gear and with attachment lever engaged.  All the wiring is new and done to the manual but I'm thinking I might have some grounding problems which I don't know much about.  Anyone know of a diagram that shows the ground wires going to the attachment lever and shifter? I would appreciate any input. Thank

I can't help other than telling you to check any/all safety switches....And maybe it doesn't have any due to it being a 1971.

But I can say, :welcometogttalk:  and :wewantpics:

Thank you, glad to be her, The wire goes to a safety switch then up to the neutral spot on the dash at the shifter but it seems like it is grounding out to the body first. I'll post pics when I can.  Nice quote by the way

I think you have a short grounding the wire from solenoid before the pto switch.
