Well guys,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,a while back I made mention of having a special tractor in the works.  Well I FINALLY got it put back together and loaded on the trailer Friday morning.  I took MY 430 John Deere and completely painted it PINK!!!!!  It has a custom dyed seat and custom decals.  I debuted it this morning at the Alabama Plow Day in Horton, Alabama.  It was an INSTANT hit with everyone, I would load pictures tonight but after plowing for almost 8 hours straight my old body is TIREEEEEEEEEEED.  I will upload them in the morning.

I've seen JD's in different colours that looked really nice. Never a pink one though!

Nice tribute to Kimme.  When you said a pink tractor I envisioned this bright loud pink tractor, but it really is a nice calm pink and it came out very nice.  I hope you weren't plowing with it, that is a show tractor.

Yep, she's a plow tractor.  He plowed 8 hours yesterday with Kimme Deere.

Thanks for posting the pic Daniel..................I was EXHAUSTED when I got home Saturday and spent most of my day Sunday resting. Been a busy week so far this week.

Just a few details about the tractor.............For those that remembert the 70s, Chrysler/Dodge did a series of cars in Panther Pink. They were only available in the 70 year model although you could special order one in Panther Pink early in the 71 year model but it was a light shade.  This tractor was done in that exact color. It even has a custom serial number decal with KimmeDeere on it but uses the original serial number.  As I stated, this tractor was USED all day.

edit: I just tried uploading pics here at work and it is taking FOREVER......I will make a point to upload them when I get home this morning!  I have a video of my daugther driving it (protesting the whole time..lol she is just like her mother, scared that she is going to mess up daddy's tractor) She did an awesome job and my youngest brother was following along right behind her on his JD 400.  His tractor is one that I bought several years ago as a part of a "truckload" deal (was actually two trailer loads). He put the motor back in it and got it running and has gotten it useable.  I think that he is HOOKED.....lol  He and I were the last two tractors in the field Saturday.  I bought two 27hp Kohler Command V-twins that will be transplanted into his and CJ's 400 in the next month or so............should make for some mean plowing machines.

I was kind of surprised how well those tractors pulled the plows. I wonder if I am doing something wrong? My Sears 10/6 with the transplanted 13HP Horrible Freight engine doesn't do that well. I think I may need more weight and either better tires or tire chains.
