Does the Waukon Inn offer adult beverages? If so go there and forget the urges,  it is too early.

Is it time to start swapping the snow movers for the ground engaging implements , like tillers and plows etc...

:rolling:  :rolling:

Sorry, but I just had to chuckle.

That's not going to happen around here for a while.

There's a good 3.5-4 ft of packed snow on the garden.

I was talking to 2 different ice fisherman recently.

Their 4 ft ice augers can't find water on Georgian Bay.

That mass of ice is going to keep things cold for quite

some time. Any moisture will probably land as snow.

Dang the Waukon inn does not offer adult beverages,  maybe if I have a few of those adult beverages,I can start to picture all the white stuff in my yard as white sand.  Now your on to something.

Will

I had heard you guys up north had a rough and cold winter.  Spring around my part of Iowa is at least 3 weeks away.  If we are lucky the corn planters will roll the last week of April.  Any earlier will be a bonus.  I still have a slight hope to plant potatoes by good Friday.  It's a nice thought.

We've gotten a good thaw down here. Been moving things around to clear a spot for a small garden. May get to plow it next week!

Man I envy you.  Wish we had spring blossoming  like that here.  But today was our third day in a row near 40.  Spring is conning but it is taking its sweet time.  2-3 weeks will make a huge difference.

I may be plowing here soon. We got most things moved out of the way for a garden.

We are slowly transitioning to spring,  Think I will swap the snow thrower off this weekend.  Might put the tiller on in a couple weeks.  No hurry.
