There is a RUNNING John Deere 400 here locally that has been repowered with a 20 horse Honda for 700 bucks and even has the deck and a 3pt hitch...........

If someone dont hurry up and buy it........it just might wind up in my herd.......lol

I would buy it just to take the 3pt off and resell the tractor for $700.

I did a quick search for repower kits and the cheapest I found was with a Briggs. I found a honda repower kit for $2150. I am a Honda Dealer and know the least expensive Honda v-twin runs a little over $1,200, plus shipping, etc. I'm pretty sure this price would not include a muffler. For what its worth, if anyone wants or needs a Honda, I can drop ship to your door.

Looking at the brackets and everything, I think if a person is decent with metal working you could come up with your own brackets and attachments. Then there would be the wiring that will be a little different. Again, that could be done if you know anything about reading a wiring diagram. I wonder if these places would sell the attachments and wiring harness separately to allow you to find your own engine? I know the exact engine would have to be known before the reset could be known.

None of these 3 have a 3 point.
