why do good things happen when you have no time, no money??? well i have the money but no time, just got off the phone talking to an older lady, her husband had passed 15 years ago and she is going to a home, she has only daughters and no one wants his garden tractors, her daughter saw my ad and gave her mom my number, we talked for the last 1/2 hr, her husband apparently loved these gts, theres 5 of them, he restored and showed them in the 90s, she does not know much about them just that they are wheel horses not very big and the motors are in a funny spot. makes me think rj or surburban. she also told me they have been in a dry garage for the last 15 years under cotton sheets. now the problem for me is im heading to mexico late tonight for 16 days and shes 4 hrs away, auuuuugggggghhhhh!!!!!! i am hoping she will hold off advertizing them till i get back, it almost gives me a sick feeling in my stomach thinking i my miss them.

Been there, done that, lost a few good rare ones.

Ask her if she would be willing to take a down the add or a small payment to hold it until you get back, tell her you are a collectors who loves these tractors and want to restore it in her hubbies memory, sometimes they will hold it for you.

Bit of a risk and if it turns out to be a pile of crap or the wrong tractor it could end badly.

Don't worry, if meant to happen it will.

Regards.

Good idea, Willie. Unfortunately Hamilton is a loooong way from Sask. Asking her if she'll hold them for you is a real possibility, I'd give it a try.
