Well, there is a guy that's about 15 miles away, he bought a large amount of acreage with a old house and shed/out buildings. The shed and buildings are full of stuff, everything from old combines to old Case tractors (bigger tractors around 30hp to 70hp) and he also has some mowers and garden tractors.

About the only decent garden tractor he has is a Cub Cadet 106, the others are small newer junkers.

The cub engine turns over, but the drive shaft is removed and the hood and stuff is taken off.

I don't know anything about it, the guy who has it doesn't know anything about it either.

I asked him a price and he wasn't sure. I didn't know what it was worth either, I'm going to buy 3 parts tractors from him, all 3 are cases, (SC, DC & 900 Diesel), I might just make him a offer on the 3 cases and the cub, then see if he'll take it.

What do you guys think?

what would this be worth???

I'd probably pay around $150-200 for the Cub Cadet but that's just my opinion it's probably worth more than that. Notice the carb is open.

You are looking at an easy couple hunderd in parts to sell i would think around 100 to 150 as long as the motor has compression

Cub Cadets always can sell well, they have a good reputation and folks want them.  I'd see if he'd throw it in if you help him get rid of those tractors.

I sold a 106 last summer for $300.  It was in similar condition cosmetically, but all together & running.

It has an engine, S.G. looks to be a 42" deck and good looking fenders.

Roached seat and dash, easy enough fix. As others said I'd throw a $200-$250 offer his way, what's the worst that could happen? It stays there. What would you feel comfortable paying is my question?

I don't care to see tractors parted, but you've got more than that in parts alone. Try a package deal  Good luck!

That's a nice SC, the one I'm buying is partly dismantled and it's kind of in a pile :smilewink:.

I don't know how long it's been sitting out in the weeds but it's been there a long long time from the way it looks.

I'm paying scrap price and I'm going to part it out.

The DC is in about the same condition, but the 900 looks pretty complete but I don't know anything about it.

I'm paying scrap price for all of them, but the problem is scrap is pretty high and all together they weigh in at 18.000lbs.

Are you going to be parting out the DC as well?  If so I might possibly be interested in parts if you're selling any.  I am currently restoring a 1952 DC with an eagle hitch in memory of our son and I am need of a few parts.

Yes I probably am, I will let you know when I get it and I'll see what parts are good.

Thanks
