Got  a trailer for the GT? May not go far, but you can 'cruise' for a day and camp out!

My suggestion is don't go, but I doubt if that was the right answer.  Cruising was never my style.

Tell her you are looking forward to the cruise and all the young women running around in skimpy outfits and hanging around the pool on the ship.  :D  maybe that will change her mind. :D

My wife went on the cruise out of Florida to the Bahamas a couple years ago. Its a long trip from here.

She said she didn't have much fun on the boat, because of the breeze and all the older people. She had a bit of fun off the boat but not much.

She won't do it again, as she was very disappointed, but I guess the only way to find out is to try it yourself.

Good luck. With all the power outages, illness, weirdness, food poisoning, etc they've had on cruises lately.. I dont think you could get me on one of those floating chum makers if I was being paid to do it. I do hope you enjoy your trip and Mamma has a very enjoyable time as well.

My mother in law is a nurse practitioner. She said she is going to write me a script for the patch that helps with motion sickness.

Some people like it, some don't. I went on my honeymoon to the Bahamas (Freeport, Stirrup Cay, Nassau) and loved it. Best relaxation I have ever had. No phone, no email, no kids ...well ours at least. lol

Go into it with an open mmd and have fun.

And to keep your expenses down, This is how we brought liquor on board. http://www.rumrunnerflasks.com

Same ports as this one minus stirrup cay.

I won't drink enough to go through that hassle. Probably a couple margaritas.

I'd get drunk and end up in the brig

I've been on 2, 5 dayer left from NJ to Bermuda and back the other one was 4 dayer left from Pt Canaveral going to Bahamas.

We only use Royal Carribean and enjoyed both cruises, IMO the best overall, all inclusive vacation you can take.

The Bermuda trip, we drove from Cincy to NJ, had a bad first night, 20-22 foot waves, 1/3 of crew was even sick. Besides that, we loved it.

The Bahamas trip, drove from Cincy to Pt Canaveral, 4 day cruise to Bahamas. Got off on Nassua and RC's island Cocoa Cay. We hated Nassua, the "straw market" and touristy part of the city were dirty and run down. We spent maybe 2-3 hours on the island and spent the rest of the day docked in port on the boat. A lot of people from the boat got an excursion over to Atlantis, we would have if we could have afforded it.

What cruise line are you going with? I can give ya more tips if going on Royal Carribean
