Hey everyone I have be busy. I have friend try to sell me a john deere 300 I was on tractordate I don't understand the serial number. The serial number is 076106M my friend thinks 1977. Did john deere make the 300 three years or more and what year is this tractor?

The tractor is a 77 and they were made from 75-77. Basically a new version of the 140. The type code for your machine is c300f.

Three years only. The 78 316 was nearly identical though and the ser. no started at 80001 which was right in sequence with the 300s.

Thanks guys What a good price for a 300 and a 72 110 with hyd lift? The friend buy the 300 with a loader he want to put the loader on a cub cadet. He buy the 72 110 with a sweeper to put the sweeper on a cub cadet so he buy a mower deck for the 300 to sell it. The 300 run good I hear. The 72 110 don't run

It depends on your budget, It would be cool to get the 300 with the loader. The hydraulic lift on the 110 is a nice option if everything works and you could get it running.
