I'm wondering why so much? Not a very complex machine.

Someone is trying to get rich.A new 20" reel with grass catcher is only around $80 at Home Depot.Add $20 worth of material to make a hitch and you can have 1 for 1/10th the price. :wallbanging:

Looks like a Wet dream!  $900 plus could buy a lot of little neighbor kid to do your lawn if you are in a handicap way! Would need a perfect flat lawn for not only the mower, but the pull vehicle to make it run that long. PLUS, reel mowers are real fussy to set-up and keep sharp and so-on, and few people know how to do that even.

Not only are they trying to take advantage of someone but it's poorly designed. The pull force should be in the front not the lower rear area.
