Does anyone have the actual dimensions of the battery cover for the open sided LGTs (1975)?  Mine is missing and I was thinking about just making one.

Look at the" HOW TO" section on here and see if it like the one I posted dimensions for on my Jacobsen.             Roger.

This is the piece I'm looking for.  I can make one if I can get dimensions.

Someone is making reproduction ones. There was a thread on them here a few months ago. Good Luck, Rick

Lance,

What do you think you'll need for one of these?  I have the capabilities of making one, but if you've already got some done...might be just as easy to get one from you.

Thanks,

Mike

Im working on these things also... not exact replicas... but functional steel replacements. I did the first prototype by hand and then got one the office guys at work to do an autocad file and I just punched out 6 pieces at work yesterday...  which I'll use to see if any adjustments need to be made... soon as I decide everything is acceptable they can be re-produced at will.

some pics of the original hand made prototype plus two pics of the newly punched out pieces before bending and welding
