Is any one familiar with this show ? White and family is the feature, and I would like to know if it's a worth while show for long road trip. Probably we would come for two days and bring some White garden tractors.

I go to the show every year and there is less than 50 tractors displayed. It is more of a small local show but they do have a nice little auction.

What day and time is the auction?

We were thinking about going up Friday and staying over night for Saturday.

Dan I sent them an e-mail thru their website asking about the auction. Hopefully they get back to me in the near future. John may even be back with info before they give me a response. Here is a link to their website. It has some nice pictures.  http://www.pasttopresent.org/

Thanks, George.

White isn't the feature very often , and I saw a couple in some of the previous show pictures. It's a long haul , but I think we're going to try and make this one.

George,

I got thinking about this later and figured out the thread is about the machinery show and not the plow days.

I plan on going to the plow days on April 25th & 26th  and not the machinery show.  Still hope to see you guys there !!

This soil is going to have a little more character than the soil in Danville.

Some friends of mine have plowed here in the past, they say it is great plow ground and have asked me to come plow with them.   The pictures they have posted from past plow days shows very nice looking ground !

Here is a link to last years event that was posted on WFM.

I'm about 15 miles west of there and the ground is pretty rocky but that ground looks great.A little distance can really change things.

I dug a water line at my brother house and never hit a rock.I live 300 yards from my brother and pulled most of these out of the ground while digging my water line.

I hope to see you there and I hope the frost is out of the ground by then.

We aren't going to the Past and Present plow day , it conflicts with another show down here, But I am interested in any feed back about the show  in May. Coming up early Friday mourning and then try to find a motel room for Friday night and leave for home late Saturday afternoon.

I just spoke with the fellow listed on the Past and Present website about the auction. He said the auction starts at 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning. Small items are sold first and he said they try to move outside by noon to sell the bigger machinery. I also want to add that there is no admission charge to the show.

The only motels I come up with on a search ,are chain motels back in Dubois. I was hoping we could find or maybe someone could suggest a mom and pop motel closer in the area . I'd rather support the little guy.
