Hello.. I am new to your community and am looking for some help. As soon as I find a link to introduce myself I will get it done:)

I have a ariens s-14 hydrostatic garden tractor that I want to build a loader for. It has a 15t splined pto on the front that I want to put a gear pump on. The problem is that I do not know what the adapter is called. I want to buy a standard gear pump instead of spending a lot more on a pto pump.

Any help would be appreciated..

I can't see anything on the bottom of your post except what you wrote but I will try and figure it out. The pto shaft I have on the front is common so I hope someone knows how it's done or what the parts name is. Thanks for the fast response Kenny

Grainger has 15 spline couplers, but for the love of all things rusty I cannot find a 15 spline lovejoy coupler.

Thanks....I see the McMaster one that I need. Can I buy the splined side(bb) and buy the other side to fit the keyed shaft on the gear pump?

It looks like it goes from splined to splined shaft on there website. The surpluscenter one looks like an extension.

Now that I got my pc going I can post pictures but in this case I doubt they are needed.

I just checked the file, it is working properly. Have you downloaded other manuals today? What is your computer set up? (i.e., Windows or Safari, etc..)

Check the McMaster catalog for flexible couplers.  You'll find the other half plus the rubber coupler.

This has got my attention.

I picked up a Ariens the other day that has the mid and front PTO. Now I have all kinds of ideas floating around in my head about things I want to run with it, that is IF I can get the tractor to run.

I will be waiting for pictures of your tractor. :poke:

Here's the subframe for the loader on my GT17. The long bars bolt to the rear with u bolts and the front cross bar bolts to the front floor board support. The pump is driven off of the mid PTO with a shaft just like the mower deck. The uprights for the loader bolt to the cross bar that the pump is mounted on. This was the factory setup on the Brantly loader.
