I've asked where the tail light mounts on another forum and no one can tell me for sure where it goes.. I've seen 2 different places of it's placing. Anyone got one on theirs and can say for sure?

It depends whether or not you have a 3-pt.  If it's centered, it will be in the way of the lift and opt. spring assist.

Yes that's the Original mounting bracket .

The slightly larger middle hole is for mounting it to one of the seat spring plate bolts .

The two outer holes were used for the later narrow frame cubs with fenders , and it was mounted to the fender which had two matching holes .

OK , now I'm confused ....I thought the above picture was your light and bracket  ??

Do you have a similar light and no bracket , or do you plan on buying fenders ?

I wish you had a front view of that light lens as they made very similar Grote lights for other IH models like the 154 184 etc.  lowboys .

Does the lens have 2 or 3 screw holes ?

Original round fenders do not have mounting holes for that light , it still gets mounted to the seat bracket .

I guess you could mount it to the round fenders by drilling holes , but that's usually frowned upon by the IH purists .....LOL

First picture is of Grote light mounted on my 100 with round fenders ,  attached to one of the fender bracket mounts .

Second picture is of my 122 with square fenders and factory two holes in fender .( Its the same as the 100 light and bracket . )

Third  picture is the 3 hole Grote lens and light that was usually found on IH lowboys ( its very similar to the two hole and uses similar brackets.)

Its supposedly a later version of the Grote light .

Sorry for the picture quality , but the 122 was buried and I had to stand on my head to get the picture .....LOL
