These engine blocks are machined for crank and cam and points, The deck the bore and ports and lifters and valve seats and guides have to be done, So you need port sizes and where everything goes. That why I was hoping to find someone that has done one of these before. I know I could do it when I was a 100% but im only at 50% right now and running out of time before pulling starts. and im hoping to get the good news on March 14th that they got it all the cancer out of me. I haven't been able to work. So I can even try it my self. I don't want to screw up a new 1400.00 block. Its getting any info on where to locate valves lifter bores. and port sizes. no one wants to tell you anything. If I spent 8000.00 they will build me one. I have spent almost 3 grand on parts. If I was back to work I would try my own way. I cant see spending 8 grand and still wait 6 months for it.when I don't know whats going to happen in March. Im just finished all my radition and chemo treatments. And they couldn't give me last chemo because of they didn't thing I would make .And I don't know what to do if I have to go back and have more. sorry im rambling . Thank you guys for all your help.

Wow, that sucks... I think Matt kaster builds engines, uhmm have u talked to Cathy herself out their at mwsc? Can't believe they won't touch it... I can't see them that busy, cause they got like 2 or 3 guys I'm told building engines unless their playing with their stuff... Might look up Zach Kerber not sure if he does it... Or j&s enterprises might

I talk to Zach hes never done one and he said I was better off getting someone that has. Cathy was the one that told me there that busy, shes very nice. From what I was told by someone at mwsc they don't build engines in house. But I think that bs. He also told me that the j2 block was old school, but the engine they will build you there using it. I have a number to call one of the guys on here hooked me up with a few guys.

Well I think ill have the engine all worked out. I talked to one guy. and got some advice. so im going to just machine it out myself. I started making a jig to check center line of crank to piston bore. I have to bore it to 4.110  but I have to make sure piston is in the center of the crank. It has a cast hole there now that's only 3.75 .    2014-02-25120317_zps1efc023d.jpg
