My computer coughed up a hairball, and i borrowed my daughters laptop to get a few things done. It's got this thing called Hover, if you hover over anything for a few seconds it selects it. For somebody old and slow like me, it's a real disaster. She does not like it either, as the kids use it and don't realize what it's doing. Is there any way of turning this off and use like a regular mouse pointer? I realize this is probably a very basic thing, but I am not good at basics.[lack of attention]. I'm talking about Windows 7

Thanks George

George, go to help on your startup menu, type in hover and you should be able to find the place to turn that option off.
hope this helps, Brian

Check out this link: Select A Window By Mouse Hover In Windows 7

It shows how to ENABLE that feature. Just uncheck the box it has circled in red.
