Why yes, yes he can, if he's an OldBuzzard and is in Florida.

Went back down to Winter Haven today and did another biplane ride.

This time I flew the Waco YPF-7 and did some aerobatics :dancingbanana:

I have video, but it's in 3 files that total 9 GB!

For this video I will definately have to wait until I get home to post it on YouTube.

This was as much, if not more, fun than flying the N2S-3.  It's a shame that the video doesn't have audio, as that would have been nice to have.

However, here are some pics of the  plane that I flew.

Note the 'plethora' of instrumentation in the front cockpit, where I was sitting :rolling:

Here are pics of the Boeing/Stearman PT-17 that I flew last week

OB that is cool!  I see IFR has a whole new meaning flying in the Waco.  I'm looking forward to the video.

Again when I was in the Navy I got my backseat card for flying in the F-4 Phantom.  I really love to go out and do ACM (dogfighting) and then aerobatics when we could.

I wouldn't mind coming down a bit.

Do you have an address for the show grounds so I can plug it into my GPS?

The photos didn't show up.

How'd your stomach hold up? Did the ground feel like it was moving after you got out of the plane?

Aerobatics are fun and spins are a hoot in the clouds.

Looking forward to the videos.

They'll arrest you for having too much fun, you know.  Glad to hear you aren't doing that yet.

Your pictures aren't coming up this morning for some reason?  What did Cat do now?

Ben W.

I think Cat may have been using the uploaded pics area as a litter box  :mad2:

Anyway, I re-uploaded them, and added some of the PT-17 as well.

I didn't feel any discomfort at all.  Shucks, I could have done that, and more, all day long  :D :D :D

Besides, this wasn't the first time I've been in 'unusual attitudes' in an airplane.  I used to do loops, spins, etc. in the Cessna 140 I owned back in the late 70's.

Not to mention that unlike in power planes today, to get your private license for sailplanes, you have to do a spin and recovery.
