just finished off working on my skid steer and the snow is flying, i have been having trouble with it all winter, bad fuel, so 3 weeks ago i go and buy 2 sets of fuel/water seperators, catapillar dealers are crooks, $164 for the pair, im going to check out dealers in the states, well i change the filters . i had already added 3 gal of keroseon and a bottle of winter conditioner and it ran great during the last storm, i went out just to clean out some drifting a couple of days ago and its running like crap again, this time i pull the filters, full of ice. so i just changed them out and i will drain and dryout the used ones and keep them for later, possible i will go down to where i buy my diesel and insert them in the owner, anyways we are to get a foot tonight and some more during the day tomorrow, i hate it when the storm comes off the lake, its never a good sign but i should be good to go, happy plowing

It's coming Roger...I was outside at around 6:30 with JR, and a Founders bottle was all but 1" buried.  I measured about 7", and it was (and still is) coming down hard.  Dunno what the weather guru's were thinking, calling for 3-5".  I bet I have 10" in the drive, and can barely see across the street.  Good thing there's no wind.

I spent 2 hours in the seat yesterday, after raking the roof, and had my place opened up and nice and tidy ahead of the thaw.  Now, I'll have a foot to move tomorrow.  Thank goodness I gambled on this 2 stage!  Cuts my blowing time in half, at least.

I have an old funnel that fits onto my tractor fuel tanks. It has a screen that catches water and ice in the fuel. You can prevent alot of problems with this kind of prefilter. Good Luck, Rick
