Last weekend I picked up a couple of sets of tires.  I had some time today to get a set onto the model 40. Bottom tire in the first photo is the old set.  Top tire is the new set.

While it was out, I put a Wisconsin AB on it to make sure the tires would clear.  They do, but just. It is the wrong engine but I don't have a spare ABN that is complete.

I also thought I might get some comparison photos of the 15 beside the 40.  The 40 is a monster compared to the 15.

That thing looks like one hunk of a machine.  I would like to see someone stand behind it and see the difference then.

I bet with those big wheels and an ABN at the head, that tractor will pull a house down, or else spin before it looses power.

Edit: I can't capitalize my name right tonight, I must be tired.... :mad2:

I've never been able to capitalize on my name.  I've tried, but no one will buy it.

I'll see about getting some man & machine photos.

That is a pretty good size walker you have there. I like the looks of those tires.

I know what you mean.  The problem I have is that when folks hear my name, they run.  That's why I stick to Ben W.  It adds a touch of mystery and class that I really don't have and makes ya'll think I'm something special when really I'm dumber than a box of rocks.

Speaking of buying names, Roy Rogers was in a similar boat.  He had to change his name before the movies would buy him as an actor.  "Roy Rogers, singing cowboy," does sound better than "Leonard Franklin Slye, King of the Cowboys".

That looks like serious business with the new shoes. What size are they and where did you purchase them?

They are 8-16's.  The originals were 6-16, so these are wider.  That may cause me some grief come plowing season, but I don't have a plow yet so that's not a major concern.  I also have a good 6-16 left that can go on the furrow side, if it becomes a problem later.
