I have snapper 1650 with 42" snow thrower.
1st problem is trying to cross reference drive belt for thrower, can't measure as it is in pieces.
2nd how to go about putting new belt on ? (getting old off is not a problem) already been done for me.
Any input would be great

Welcome to the forum. I moved your post into a new thread for better exposure. Someone should be along soon to help answer your questions. You might check the manuals section for a manual for your machine.

First, :welcome: to GTTalk. It sounds like you have a very nice machine and I'm sure many would love to see a picture of it.
Second, we split your post off from the other (older) thread so it would get more exposure and hopefully a better chance at answers.

Thanks for joining.

Someone has posted a nice cross reference chart for Massey Ferguson belts in the Forums section I believe. On my 1450 with a 42" snow blower, I have replaced the long belt that connects the tractor front PTO to the blower recently and it's not much fun, but doable! There are also nice manuals that you can download and print for your tractor and the blower. This site has tons of great info and awesome contributors! Let me know if I can help with further information.

Welcome to GTT. Check out our Manuals Section for info on attaching the blower and belt. Good Luck
