Saw that all over town yesterday, city steet parking ban was in affect and yet they park in the streets, town plow trucks and tractors buried some of the cars over the roof, entombed in hard packed snow.

Seems like stupitiy reigns supreme in Northampton, clear the end of the driveway before driving out, common sense right ? not to the 12 car drivers i counted last night who ramped their front wheel drive cars onto hard pack snow.

One driver whom i drove by several times spent over an hour digging around the front of the car to no avail, with both wheels spinning in the air sitting on top of concrete like snow.

Police was issuing tickets all day long and tow truck drivers profeting off of the stupitdity.

Years ago I worked at a service station with a guy who moonlighted there from his regular job with Utah DOT.

During the winter he ran a plow truck up in the ski resorts around Park City.  He tells of one particularly bad storm that had them working many hours to get the road cleared and stranded people back to their homes.  He talked about coming down a road and saw a particularly large drift on the side.  He down shifted, gave the 10 wheeler some gas and plowed into the drift--and took the side off a Volkswagen in the process...
