The weeds don't always get ahead of us like you see in the pictures, and some fields aren't as bad as others. If the weed situation in some fields requires early attention, and the weather is fit, we work the soil (the fields that will be corn) as soon as the ground is fit, then we work it again right before planting. We didn't have that opportunity last Spring.

Today, got one field prepared to plant corn (hopefully tomorrow). Maybe I'll take some pics tomorrow when I'm in the tractor.

Pictures! Today, my dad finished planting corn. Yesterday, in one field I was working in, I could see in person's garage/shed that is close to the field, what appeared to be a nice Allis Chalmers lawn or garden tractor.

Yes, it is a good feeling! Are the 180 acres of corn you have left to plant all yours, or is some of that custom?

I plowed our garden yesterday. Here's some pics. It was the first time I've ever plowed (except for last Fall when I tried to, but it was to wet). In time, we hope to rotate the gardens, using one side (they're divide by a grass strip) one year, then the other side the next.

Looks like you'll be planting plenty of whatever you want!

That is a lovely old 165, really brings back some memories, though we were using a 155, slightly smaller and less powerful.

I was so excited to find a plow that was from the same time period as the 165! Did your 155 have Multi-Power?

Oh by the way, did you decide to buy the book on the MF 100 & 1000 series? I know it talked about the MF 155.
