I got a call tonight from a buddy of mine that knows about my (collecting) problem and told me that his dad needs to sell the 1782 that they have been using for years at their house about 3 miles down the road. He says it will come with a hydro tiller and what he said is a 54" mower deck. he said something about a blade too. maybe I have them switched and the blade is a 54". anyway he stated "it is in rough shape" but it runs great. I am going to be going to look at it later this week. from what I have found doing some searching here and elsewhere it could be worth anywhere from $1,000-3,000 depending on condition plus the attachment.

What do you guys think? Am I right on my estimate on pricing?

also then what do I do? I haven't even put the mower deck on the 1512 I picked up late last fall. I can't afford the room or the money for both right now so I will have to figure something out. probably sell one of them for sure.

Buy this one and figure on selling the other later. In 6 or 7 years, you'll have a yardfull of tractors like me. I have no idea on value. Good Luck, Rick

Talked to his dad and he confirmed the 54" deck. And says it has 800 something hours on it. He's looking at $1800-2000 for it.
He said it needs a shut down silinoid that died a few years ago. It has a cat 0 3pt on it with a rear pto.
Im gonna go pick it up and fix it up some then probably sell one of them cause i dont need 2 diesel mowers im just torn on it. I obviously would love to have power steering and turning brakes and all the other goodies but i am not a fan of the cyclops front ends or the radiator mounted at the wrong end of the motor.
I will get some pics later this week and post them as soon as i can.

I hate to say it but it might get converted into a 782d with a parts tractor i have here. I would swap the sheet metal from the dash forward. And repaint the whole thing red.

I intended to cut down my herd last year but some deals came along and it grew by 6. I'll try again this year. Good Luck, Rick

I would say that is a fair price. 800 hours is pretty low. The rear PTO and 3 point add quite a bit of value. Good luck!!

We have the same thing. Love all the features but that plastic was a real brainer when they built these :mad2: I got a few sets off epay to put on ours but ours has no attachments on it. We put a 44inch deck off a 582 on it and welded some tab so it would fit on the deck lift. It looks goofy with such a small deck :rolling:

Maybe the deck was an option but I usually see them with the 60 inch haban decks on them. Don't really see the blades too often and haven't seen a 3 point yet for them either. I know theres a company that sells aftermarket 3 point systems for the super cubs and wide frame models as well.

Yes i have looked at the extreme 3pt kits and have thought about it for the 1512. But now that this one is on the plate i wouldnt have to deal with it.

so doing more research on it this morning and found that the 54" deck that I have been told it has had a bagger available. I'm now looking for a bagger but they are looking to hard to come by. also I am def going to keep this one and post up the 1512 for sale to make room.

Here is what i found.
It is really beat up. Scratched up all over and the wiring up front where the shut off silinoid has been all messed up. There are bare wires hanging out all over it up in that corner. It doesnt cone with the tiller. He has that setup on a 2186 sitting next to this one. Also it doesnt have the rear pto just a 3 pt
