I am in the process of restoring a McCulloch Mini Mac chainsaw and in the process of looking for parts and info I have come across many different models. I was just wondering if anyone knew why there are so many I.e mini mac 6, 6a, 25, 35, 110, 120, 130. We're they just different years or are they slightly different sizes? I was pretty sure mine is a 6, but then came across some pictures of a 25 that look almost identical to mine. There were no markings on mine so I am relying on the internet to lead me in the right direction. All the parts I got for it as a 6 seem to work no problem so it's a bit confusing.

I think the big difference is cc's. the engines were different sizes from what I remember and the 25 had a kickback brake, don't remember the 6 having one.

That makes sense. I guess my first instinct was right in thinking it is a 6 as it came with no chain brake. However I bought a second hand brake on the internet that I am going to put on for some added safety as it seems to fit. Thanks for the info.
