I would trade my Jac for that! Price is high for where I live. I heard that those engines shook the tractor pretty good.

At lower engine speed it will shake ya,  at normal mowing rpm just as smooth as a gasser except one tank of diesel will mow 4 times what  a 716 uses with the same deck.   Oh ya the 716 is for sale also

A local former Allis Chalmers dealer still has a brand new AC 920 Diesel at the dealership and it's for sale.

That would be pretty neat to take a look at!  Bet they want a bundle?

Arond here, a 'deal' on a 7790/920 in average shape is $600-900, a fair price, $900-1300, and a high price $1300-1700.  That's a tractor alone, maybe with a deck.  Other attachments add some value.  Condition on these is the big $$ ticket.  I've some real beauties go over $2k.  I wouldn't sell mine for under $2000...more once I wrap up the PS install.  It has 33 hours on the clock.

This is very true!  These diesel's are sippers!  I think I filled my tank twice this past summer...my M20 in the old Sovereign needed about 3/4 tank every mowing!

The down side is there is maybe there's an engine not sure because they had pulled it for the driveshaft that somebody needed years ago.
