Finally had some time to drill out the holes for the new seat. It will look good once it's done. Also got a new drive pulley but I have to drill new set screw holes in it.

So this weekend yielded some quality painting time. Primed some bigger pieces like the hood and fenders with the spray gun. And then the Red Paint flew! Have a little more to paint yet like the engine block and some small pieces but i ran out of paint tonight so i'll have to make a trip to the IH dealer this week. Won't be warm enough to finish until Sunday or so. Have to paint the wheels and then it's time to put it back together.

How many hours did it take to prime and paint?

It takes quite a while. It doesn't take as long to prime as it does to paint. I put two coats of primer on those parts i did and it probably took 1.5 hrs to get them done. Painting takes quite a while i spent probably three hours sunday and 3 hours today give or take a few minutes. The big pieces i gave 3 coats and the smaller stuff gets 2 coats. I got a new paint gun on the last tractor i did which is the one in my profile pic. It's a gravity fed HVLP gun by Kobalt and it made a big difference in the quality of paint job i can do not to mention i have a lot less overspray and use a lot less paint. But i must say painting is my favorite part of the restoration!

Well I have been super busy lately but I tried to paint my wheels and I must have screwed up my paint mixture because the paint just ran everywhere when I tried to paint so I have to redo those. Other than that not much to report. Once I start my new job I'll get home at a better time in the evening and have more time to work on it.
