NE Indiana and many other States East and South supposed to get a big snow storm today. Fellas been talking of not coming to work tonight and tommorrow. We get workers from pretty far away and South that seem to make it better than some locals in bad weather!  Was supposed to start at 1:00 this aft, but now is 4:00 and just getting going. It IS coming down hard and big flakes tho. We'll all have to check in with our plowing pix in day or two. Might be 6 to 12" in many spots, then blowing around tommorrow too. Getting hard to find places to push it too. I did finally go out in warmer weather and knock back some of the piles, but some are too frozen to break free. Getting to be better to have a blower than a blade, something I've never said in past years! Bring it On!

It started snowing here at 3:00 PM...just as everyone was leaving Jasper for their homes.

The sheriff's department responded to at least a dozen "slide-off's" within 30-45 minutes.

We have about 1 to 1.5" of snow right now,  but I think there is freezing rain falling right now.

I am sick and tired of this winter weather! I am ready for spring....Damn groundhog!

started @ 7:30 am here and according to the weather man we officially have 11.1 inches so far........

Drifting is pretty bad - I been out busting the drive with the TO30 with wheel weights on all 4 and large D ring chains and having some trouble.  Ground speed is slow because of so much spinning.  Had to come in to thaw some but gonna hit it again right now.  :-(

I'm too old for this crap!

The snow is gonna start falling here about 1:00 AM. I put the rear rims, tires, weights, and chains on the SS/18 I bought last friday. I installed the plow, changed the engine oil,and air filter, adjusted the carb, greased up the steering, and checked the rear end fluid. Looking forward to pushing some snow around!20140204_124504-1.jpg

The snow just hit Cincinnati about 6:30 PM.  Its snowing like crazy.   They are saying we are going to get about 6 inches and maybe a half inch of ice mixed in.    Isn't it wonderful !      Now where is that dang groundhog?

Started here around 10 this morning, 3-1/2" at 5 pm, it was pretty fine earlier so it didn't build up much until mid-afternoon.  Predictions are for up to 9" by morning.  ~~  Lowell

Started this morning with about an inch on the ground. Quit until about 11:00 then stated again. After the rush hour fiasco a couple weeks ago where it took some associates over 3 hrs to get home the boss decided to close at 3:30. I had an hour free for my birthday so left at 2:30. I put the sway control turnbuckle back on my ford and had about 4 inches moved by 5:15.
This is supose to stop around 10:30 and I think I will have about 6 inches. But the wind is suppose to kick up so who knows what the drifts will be?

I wish I was getting lots of snow.  This freezing rain is coming down.  Not much at all one can do with ice but wait for it to melt.  Good thing I have plenty of milk available!  I bet the store shelves have been cleared of milk & bread!

We are not supposed to get any from this storm here in northern Michigan. Maybe some more first of next week.  Hope you all fare well during this next storm. Stay warm and stay safe.       Roger.
