A couple pics of a new project that needs a lot of attention

its gonna need a motor, or this one rebuilt.... never seen one where it would run but pouring oil out of the pcv tube

It will need steering gears, bevel gear box, and the dents fixed in the hood

Nice. You should inspect the breather. That may need to be replaced. That will usually solve the oil problem. You can download the manual. Good Luck, Rick

Nice B-12 !  I hope you posts pictrues a your rebuilding it , I got a B-10 last year that's  going to need the steering repaired/repaced , I'm not sure what I'll be getting into yet . I wish mine had those cool arm rests , I wonder if someone took them off , need to see if there are any holes that they might hvae been mounted on .

That's a sharp B-12!  at least the grill looks intact.  I agree with the breather being needed to be changed.  Those briggs are a fun little motor to work on.  Have fun and look forward to hearing your results.

The B-12s were the only B series to have that seat on them making them "special". The B-10s had the regular white and black seats.

I tore down the engine to find the strangest thing I have ever seen

the cylinder looks perfect, but both compression rings were broke in 10 places

So i have a good 10hp to put on it til I find rings

also noticed the bgb has side to side play so it will need to be replaced, and while I pull it down I'm going to paint it back to the original color

and I fixed the sterring parts

so keep tuned this one will turn out nice!!!
