I am looking for a Simplicity front mount snowblower for a Serf LT.  The blower for these tractors was very small, a 27" blower.  Yeoman and Broadmoor tractors used a 32" blower, which is not quite what I'm looking for (but they used the same drive/hitch and controls).

Any help finding one of these would be appreciated!  I'll drive or ship...I'll take something NOS or destined for the scrap heap.

As a teaser, here's the machine it will be mounted on when I find it...one of my favorites!

When you say 28", do you secretly mean the 27" blower?

Also, which number is your 525? (990)485-580-581, or is it the (990)647-648? Do you need the lift kit with it?

I take it timflury won't part with his?

:wallbanging:

Oh wow...you got me there.  I had to go back and edit that

No, I doubt Tim would ever part with his...he'd be shoveling if he did!

This is one of those attachments that was probably seldom purchased and used due to the small stature of the Serf tractors, and many were likely set aside or scrapped over the years.  I would just like to track one down to have for my son's machine.  The B-208S/blower is kinda 'Step 3' of the kid-learning-to-use-a-tractor program.  The Serf is 'Step 2'.  That clutch pedal feels much closer to the operator than the Broadmoor sized machines.  I'd have to measure to see if it actually is, and by how much.  There was one out East on ebay a year or two back, but it was missing all sorts of parts and the seller wanted something crazy like $250, and wouldn't ship.  I'd probably talk to him again, since I haven't seen another since.

Thing is...I'm sure there are a few out there, laying beneath a hayloft or under a snowbank rotting away.  I would love to find one and bring it back to life.

This Serf is a 525....I'd have to look but I think it's a 485....solid grill, not slotted.

So, will you need a lift kit for the snowblower if you find one? Or is the lift kit the same for the blade you have on there?

Never mind, I answered my own question. The lift kit for the blade and the blower are the same.

You are right though....the tractor did not have a lift when I got it as it was optional. The seller had it in the box still....I had to bolt it on when I got it home =] He later mailed me the nos deck chute he had forgotten about. The deck itself was said to ne unused, but to me it looked like it had been mounted and used at some point but there was no grass residue beneath it. This is the closest to a NOS tractor I have ever had a chance to grab.

Way to go, Josh. Now I can take 'Simplicity Serf snowblower' off my header bar favorites for CL. They are hard to find.
