It was pretty warm out today, so I messed around with the SS/18 to see if I could get it to run with the choke all the way open. I removed both of the carb adjustment screws, wiped em' off and reinstalled them. Well it now runs perfect at every rpm including low idle. One of the adjustment screws was out 5 1/2 turns and now it's only out about three turns. Both rear rims are shot due to rust from water inside, so I have to find another pair. I put a narrow set of rear rims and tires on it from my 68'for now. I took it for a ride and everything works great!
Here's a pic of the 69' that sat in a neighbors basement for years. All of the paint is original, but the seat came off of my 68'. The original vinyl seat from the 69' is in decent shape, bit I have to repair to small rips before putting it back on.
