I just bought a 1990'S Ariens YT130G riding lawnmower with a YT 36" snowblower attachment.

The auger/drive belt needs to be replaced. I have never worked on a snowblower before.

How do you change the belt?

Welcome to GTtalk.  Since we don't get a lot of snow here in the south I'll defer your question to someone more knowledgeable about snow-blowers.

Since I can't find a pic of one onlline, and Ariens parts lookup doesn't recognize that model #, we'll just shoot from the hip. The belt runs from the bottom of the engine, on a pulley, to a pulley on the snowblower. There is one or two or three pulleys along the way. One of those will move. Either by a lever, or a spring, or both. Pulling, pushing, or moving that will allow you to get the belt off that pulley. Then you can remove the belt from around the other pulleys and remove it. Compare the belt to the new one you purchase to make sure it's the same size, then put the new belt in the reverse order of how the old one came off.

I may be able to get more precise if you have model #'s off your tags on the mower and the snowblower.

Welcome to the forums!

I don't know to much about the blowers myself. If you can get the model number off the blower or tractor, we could pull up a diagram of the belt configuration.
