Oh, he did not state a price, that is going to be very, very, very high, shooting for the moon blind in other words.

As for Rare,...no, not that rare, at all, they pop up all the time and this is NOT original, it is a restro build up.

The real early ones are rare.

Really nice looking though.

The "rounded" hooded ones were made in '58-'59 ish and then in '60 went to the "square" ones?

Is that close?

Kind of.... the DB made Sears Suburbans went from 59-65, round nose from 59-62, but there were two models in '62, the 525 was round nose, the 725 went square.

That's a decent tractor, not necessarily "rare" but hard to find in my parts. Now he has the dual brakes, that was more of a rarity and I would love to have that mowing deck to fit mine.

Bet he will think it's worth a few grand.

Cool old tractor.  The grill reminds me of an Edsel.

I just called the guy. He seems very nice and said $750. We talked for a while and I explained how they aren't rare yet... He said he would do a little better if a DB collector wanted it. Somewhere in the 5 range for the right guy.
He also wasn't aware that the $ wasn't there and would correct it ASAP.

I called and he said $500. He claimed that he got it from the original owner who bought it new back in 1958.

Couldbe, but it would be a early 59 model.

58/59 model, i would have to see the serial no and date code of the engine.

The paint looks good job but has been done over, at first glance the blue paint is the tell. $ 500 sounds good with the deck depending on condition and how much has been changed, gold paint is very telling.

The front hitch is the keeper along with the deck gaurd bars, that is if the deck/spindels is in good shape and not rotted out.

The dual handles are not rare at all, trust me.

Too bad it is too far away, would offer him $ 450 cash right now.

I'm not even a David Bradley guy and can say I have seen at least  10 or so of these and that's not considered "Rare" in my Books......

Just tried calling the seller to have a little chat :smilewink: next time.

See the price is $600, for Ohio that would be the equivalent of $800 on the east coast.

I would grab it for $500, if it wasn't too far. I have yet to see one.

I seen that last night, it showed $600. He has changed his mind several times. It won't last long at that.  I would like it but I'm working on one of two GT's right now hopefully by the weekend I can get one of them. If I don't make a deal on one of these I'm sending in a big order in for paint & parts for my Massey.  :loosing_it:
