I may be wrong but I am feeling like he has unrealistic expectations. Given the tone of his listing I wont even drive up to look at his prized possession.

Original Massey 1855 w/Original 18hp Onan motor. Hydrostatic drive transmission.
3-Point lift works just fine. Will drift after a few moments.
It's been setting in the barn the last two years.
Ran good the last time I used it. A good coating of dust is on it. Needs to be cleaned up.
It's always been shedded. Previous owner had it for nearly 25 years. I've owned it for 5 years.

Matching Implements must sell with it.....THIS is a PACKAGE price....  $2450
No pick and choose. All or nothing at all.

48" Shaft Driven Garden Tiller...It's on the tractor now. Does NOT have the plastic chain guard.
Front mounted snow blade.
Disc in very good shape.
Single Bottom Plow with depth-wheel.
There is "NO" mower deck available. It didn't have one when I bought it.

The "Bad"====It's a 41 year old machine. The engine does have some blow-by.
Brakes could use some work.
The paint is NOT the best. Excellent candidate for restore.

Serious Inquiries Only. Low-ballers....need not call. Price is DEAD-ON firm. CASH ONLY

Doesn't sound like he really wants to sell it.

I'd let him sit on that one a while, maybe his attitude and price will both improve.

And he thinks it's a 73, when they weren't even built for a few years yet.  The tiller "might" be worth as much as the tractor, but no pics, and still way too high priced!

I wouldn't pay half that even if I had that kind of money.  Think how much you'd have in it if you did restore it!

It's people like this that irritate all of us, too high, bad attitude & same story, it ran last time I started it. Well they all ran the last time before they quit. If it wasn't so much trouble we should form a committee to call people like this. We could take turns & call every twenty minutes & offer him the same low ball price.  :bigrofl:

Reality is it needs an engine overhaul. Read the posting closely and he's hinting at the need. Makes my last purchase at. 400 a great buy though I thought to much

He needs to remove the "2" in his price, then he might get somewhere.
