I bought my first WH, a non-running D160 during the winter of 2010. I then restored it and completed the loader by the end of that summer. Very first fabrication project too. One thing I learned about loaders, you NEED extra weight in the back. Tried to move a 300+ pound stone going up a slight hill and the tires just spin. Tried moving some large snow banks, and the tires just spin. :(

This winter, I'm building a backhoe for the rear, that should add the extra weight. :laughingteeth:

Wow! Great job, would like to see more pics of this project. Like during restore, and during building of FEL. and if you would tell the story of parts, materials. On these long winter nights, us guys love to see and read about these projects, and this looks like a super job.

Best regards, George

OOPS where are my manners, WELCOME!!!!
