Thought you guys might like to see this. Old buddy was cleaning out his basement, and I got it from him. It spins, and has compression, so I put it in the shop for the winter. Weather gets warmer might see if will run.

regards, George

Good find! If it spins and has compression it may only need the points cleaned/gapped to run. Then again, if it's been in storage all these years it may not even need that.

It's been stored inside without any gas in it for about 10 years or so, so it might not be too bad a shape.

I have had several Bradleys over the years, but don't have any now, will put engine up in shop in case I or somebody else needs it. Other than paint and decal, it looks pretty good.

Very nice Briggs model N dating from July of 1951! Still has The DB air cleaner neck and DB v belt pulley. Very nice looking little engine.
tough to kill those old Briggs, usually a quick points cleaning and carb clean out and off they putt. Great winter shop project and nice find.

I have one or two of the model 8 B&S that uses the snorkel air intake just like yours. On at least one, the intake manifold is angled slightly so the carb is closer to level when the tiller in working.
