Hello everyone I have a k321 with breakerless ignition. My question is if I can change it back to a breaker type ignition? I dont see the spot where the breaker point usually go.

Those engines aren't plentiful, but I had a Wheel Horse GT14 with that system many years ago.  No, not able to switch it back easily anyway.  Would require machining a perfect size hole for a push pin, the mounting screw holes/etc.    Did your spark die?

Hi,

I have a couple of Economy PK's with the electronic ignition and have not checked them that close.

But people claim the pushrod hole is there,  just a "plug" was installed.

I know mine have all the mounting holes drilled and tapped.

I've also collected spare coil and pickup parts.

Chuck

Yeah, like Chuck says, most have a plug in the holes that ARE there already. BUT, plug gets pushed out to INSIDE the block. Some fish it out with a magnet, some have had it roll out with oil change thru that drain. OR, sneak out thru the filler plug if one down low in pan. The think with plunger and points, maybe a cover if not on there (with gasket) should be able to mount a coil, wire to the points from it, then power to the coil and should be good. OH,yeah, have to have a condensor that mounts on coil too, think on neg side same as points?  The Pos side of coil can go to key switch or a toggle. MUST change the key switch to one for Batt Ignition. Changes the M term from Magneto to the I term for Ignition. With Batt ign. you are turning OFF the power to coil, with a Mag Ign. you are just grounding the wire from Mag to stop engine.
