Say do you have a better pic of that saw attachment? It looks like it has the safety shield on it or is it a homemade one.

. Long time good friend Hank Watkins sold us the three ride-a-matics up front I got the early ridemaster from another guy it's a first year production low serial number he meet us at Hanks house. got the wagon an two ride-a-matic mower decks from a different person an Hank was gracious enough to have picked those up for me the late model super versa matic came from a member on this site he lives about 2hrs from Hank he brought it to us Was a very good trip probably the greatest haul of bolens stuff I have ever gotten in one trip!!! Will go down in the books!

Some interesting info I found was from a dealer newsletter which was dated 1953. There was a paragraph explaining that due to the request of the consumers a blade guard was now made available for the Power Ho weed cutter and sawblade. It covered the back half of the rotating disc to help prevent debris from shooting back at the user.

I never thought these had optional guards but as we all know with Bolens information you learn something new everyday :D

Brian had posted this last summer.

So I wonder if that shield is a factory one. Would be nice if someone had a pic or advertisement of one. Sure looks like it could be an original.

I might have to take a good look at it the next time I'm in your neck of the woods to get some measurements. It would be nice to have a shield on mine.
