This weather latley has been deffantaly different then the past few winters. We still haven't got rid of the snow from a few weeks ago. Got a few more inches the past few days and with this horriable wind latley we had close to 3ft drifts in a few spots.IMG_1132.jpg

I'm south of you and I agree. We are playing make up for the past few light winters we've had.

I'm North West of you, It was a horrible day here and it's even worse tonight. They are predicting 50 below 0 wind chill on Tuesday, Only 30 below tomorrow,

Blowing so hard you can hardly stand up with a few inches of new snow today, don't know how much snow because it is in big piles.

I suspect it is headed your way so it's time to batten down the hatches.
Great picture of the GT doing it's show pushing duties.

Kids are home again tomorrow. Like Arti we are in for a real cold one. High of -13F for Monday with strong winds making -50F windshield a reality. I cant recall a winter like this because we are getting lots of snow with long stretches of sub zero temps.

Great to see the Case getting a work out!

That's a great pic of the Case pushing snow uphill......

.....At sundown it was 56 degrees f. and a light breeze blowing, and now at 9:12 p.m. it has dropped to 33 f. with snow flurries and the wind is blowing hard.  it is supposed to be 2 degrees by morning with a windchill of -20.  You folks up north have had way to much snow and cold temps....we have had some below zero mornings here with daytime highs in the teens and single digits, but not near enough snow.  we could use the moisture.

Had a heck of a wind and snow last night, got the J.D.4040 out this morning to clear the 4ft. drifts off the road , and it's -30 now, supposed to hit-36 by morning. It's not nice, but it is what winter is up here. I feel for you guys down south who don't usually have to deal with weather like this. Try to stay warm and safe while you're clearing snow.

January 14th, 1997: Temps in SW MN went below 7° F, and stayed below that level until February 2nd.

Weird is the only way I can think of to describe it. When I got out of church yeaterday about 11:30 it wwas 44 degrees.

By 3:00 it was 32 degrees and sleet was coming down. That did not last long but the winds were kicking up big time.

I would estimate 35 mph sustained and gustsing up to between 45-50 mph. It was 5 below when I got up this morning and they are predicting 2 degrees for a high today.

Dug the driveway out and went uptown for awhile after the snowplow went by.

Windy and cold again today.

I'll get a few things done and clean the driveway some more if I get a chance. Saw this on the way uptown so thought I'd share a picture.
